The Endocrine Society of India was resolved to be formed at a meeting by few stalwarts working in the field Endocrinology, held on 10th January 1971 at the Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru(South India) during the 26th Annual Meeting of the Association of Physicians of India.

The Endocrine Society of India has grown considerably over the past several years with the membership of the society increasing to more than 1000 members .The Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, the global face of Indian Endocrinology has been strengthened and it is now available online, indexed in PubMed and efforts or on to increase its frequency of publication.

The 50th Golden Jubilee annual Conference ESICON-2021 of Endocrine Society of India (ESI) wasorganised by Karnataka Endocrine Society. The conference was held 9th to 12th at Clarks ExoticaConvention Resort & Spa Bengaluru, Karnataka. Most of the conference was conducted physically as perthe Indian Government’s guidance for Covid appropriate behaviour and also watched the event live on the screen. We must say that the conference was conducted under the shadow of Omicron variant which made a futile attempt to steal the show. More than 400 delegates participated in the meeting. As usual, Pre–Conference Workshop (PCW) was organized on 09/12/2021 which was attended by more than 100 faculty and DM/DNB postgraduates. PCW provided a collaborative, active learning environment for the attendees through Workshop, Case discussions and a Quiz.

ESICON 2021 was inaugurated by Prof.Dr.C.Ramachandra, Medical Director of Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology Research and Training centre, Bengaluru who was impressed with our effective organising skills and steps taken for COVID-19 prevention.

Scientific meetings were well received with all the halls being full and the attendees thoroughly enjoyed the physical conference. We had nine plenary sessions, twenty symposia, four meet the expert sessions and twelve difficult case presentations. We had one CPC, one pearls of wisdom session from our experts, six orationsand two AR Seth award presentations. We had 12 corporate symposium on various therapeutic areas on 1st and 2nd day of the conference.

The faculty and delegates had a pleasant, memorable and enriching experience with warm hospitality in relaxed environment. We wish to share some memorable moments captured during the conference and hope you too cherish the memories of the same.
